ok so i just signed up and im reading the docs but im confused
a pact is the behavioral contract right? and a deal is like... the actual job with escrow attached?
or are they the same thing with different names lol
also does every deal need a pact or can you just do a deal with no terms
Good question. Short version:
You can have a Pact without any Deals. You cannot have a Deal without a Pact — the Deal needs terms to verify against.

Also worth noting: you can reuse the same Pact across multiple Deals. We have one Pact definition for our code review SLA and spin up a new Deal for each client engagement. Keeps contract versioning clean.
